Welcome to Florida Sleep Disorder Center!

A good night’s sleep is something most of us take for granted. But for millions of Americans, getting a good night’s sleep and waking up rested can be extremely difficult. More than 100 million Americans of all ages regularly fail to get a good night’s sleep. This number is more than one-third of the US population. At least 84 percent of sleep disorders lead to a lowered quality of life and reduced personal health. While many of these disturbances are minor, some, such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy and chronic insomnia can have serious consequences. They can range from excessive daytime sleepiness and fatigue, to hypertension, heart disease, and in some cases, even death. Fortunately most sleep disorders are readily treatable once they are diagnosed.
