Dr. Graves was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at Auburn University and attended medical school in Mobile at the University of South Alabama. In 1990, Dr. Graves came to the University of South Florida for his residency in Internal Medicine. He then continued with advanced subspecialty training in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine, which he completed in 1996. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Graves is an avid sports fan. He enjoys fishing and traveling. His wife Sarah, is a pharmacist. They have two children. Dr. Hooker is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree at Villanova University in 1980 before studying medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He earned his medical degree in 1984 and was honored with The William Goldman Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Before coming to Florida, he served a one-year rotating internship in Columbus, Ohio. He then completed a three-year residency in Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida and in 1988 was first Board Certified. Dr. Hooker went on to further his education by completing a two-year fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine and was chosen for an additional year in training in Critical Care, also at the University of South Florida. During his advanced subspecialty training, he became particularly interested in the management of lung cancer and asthma. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Hooker has been the treating physician in hundreds of sleep cases. Dr. Hookers interests include golf, tennis, running, music, and travel. His wife Charlotte, is a clinical psychologist in private practice, and they have three children. Dr. Lorch received his BS in Pharmacy from the University of Florida in 1978, his M.D. in 1981 at the University of South Florida and then completed a five-year pulmonary and critical care fellowship. Dr. Lorch is Board Certified in Sleep Medicine and performed the first sleep study in Brandon. He was instrumental in establishing the sleep laboratory at Brandon Regional Hospital and subsequently the Florida Sleep Disorder Center at Brandon. Dr. Lorch is an active lecturer and researcher with numerous publications and has been the principal investigator in over 20 research studies. He has also been the Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at Brandon Regional Hospital for twelve years. Dr. Lorch is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Sleep Medicine and Critical Care. He is past chief of the medical staff of Brandon Regional Hospital and is currently serving his third term with the Board of Trustees. Dr. Lorch has five children of which the oldest is attending medical school at New York University. Dr. Lorch enjoys maintaining high quality care and the doctor-patient relationship in an ever more challenging medical environment. Dr. Powell was born and educated in Vermont. After completing medical school at the University of Vermont in 1979, he moved to Tampa for post-doctorate training at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. After a three-year residency in Internal Medicine, he completed a two-year Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. Since 1987, Dr. Powell has had a longstanding and active sleep medicine practice. He helped develop the Brandon Regional Hospital Sleep Laboratory. An avid golfer, Dr. Powell enjoys travel for ongoing education in critical care, pulmonary, and sleep medicine, as well at recreation. Dr. Shah was born and educated in New York. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute/Albany Medical College medical school in 1995, as part of their accelerated six-year medical program. His post graduate training was at North Shore University Hospital with rotations at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he served as the assistant chief resident. Dr. Shah is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Shah has been involved in multiple clinical trials and has been published in both Chest and the American journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. His wife, Dipa, is an attorney. They have 2 children. |
